Adult Introductory Course - Manchester

New 10 week Introductory Acting Course beginning 10th April 2010. 10 one and a half hour lessons on Saturdays between 1.30 - 3.00pm at Sunshine Studios, 52 Newton Street, in the heart of Manchester.

Always a popular course for those wondering if they can make as an actor. A 'smorgasbord' of master-classes and workshops by industry professionals introducing you to the world of theatre and television.

"SMILE FOR THE CAMERA..."

A one day TV workshop exploring the art of 'getting it right' for the camera. Learn the tricks of the trade to look and feel good in front of the lens, whether it be a filmed audition, advertising or acting in a TV drama. This fun and informative workshop is run by actors' coach and television director, Christopher Corcoran, who will help you along the right path to being a confident actor in front of any camera!

How to Tackle a TV Script for Audition

Understanding and reading an unrehearsed script can be daunting and stressful, especially when a successful casting or audition depends on it. This one-day workshop looks at the subject of different types of script reading for TV casting. Tips and techniques on:

marking the script in advance
picking up a script just before an audition
cold reading
varied group and individual script work, with true to life casting and audition sessions.

TV Soap Acting

Actors Centre North is proud to present the definitive Panto Workshop for all budding panto stars. Hear about the history of this great British tradition. Learn how to be a dream prince, the best booed baddie, the most magical of fairy godmothers or the zaniest of dames. Come along and learn how to put on a panto.
